The holidays are a magical time for children—full of excitement and anticipation for family gatherings, sentimental traditions and a season rich with love and giving. But this is not the picture of every child’s holiday—and it hasn’t been for many of the children who are with us at this time of year. For some, this is the first time they’ll feel the warmth and caring of a true holiday experience.
For more than 70 years, Today’s Harbor for Children has served as a force of change in addressing all facets of abuse and neglect. We give our children a home and community that cares for them, and that includes giving them a warm holiday spent with a loving family. Over the years, you have played a part in our story and supported the kids in our community—and we’d like to ask you to share in that spirit of giving again. The holiday season brings about a sense of giving and philanthropy to many. Harbor volunteers are a crucial part of our operations, especially during this time of year.
