Hurricane Harvey Damage
Hurricane Harvey resulted in a number of our cottages taking on water ranging from damaged flooring that must be replaced to roof leaks that require repair work. While our children are fine, we need your help to repair our cottages.
In addition to financial support, Todays Harbor for Children, formerly Boys and Girls Harbor, is in need of the following items at this time:
- Personal Care Items
- New Socks (Children)
- New Underwear for boys and girls
Please contact our campus staff to make arrangements to drop-off items: Janna Cole 281.471.9622 x100 or email@example.com

Tug for Life
Tug for Life-at School
Today’s Harbor for Children’s Tug for Life Program is a new Coordinated School Health (CSH), TEKS-aligned, fundraising program which includes the components of social and emotional learning. Today’s Harbor for Children prepares our young people for the path that lies ahead and how to stop the cycle of abuse.
Tug for Life can teach children at your school about setting boundaries and how those boundaries evolve with age and life circumstances. The program encourages a deep dive into defining desirable character traits in others, and those traits that students want to define their own character. Building character, physical and emotional Strength start with life experiences like respect, positive attitude, citizenship, caring, compassion, courage, honor, kindness, cooperation, self-control, perseverance, goal setting, self confidence, enthusiasm, resourcefulness, teamwork, healthy lifestyle, safety, gratitude
Tug for Life- at Work
Today’s Harbor for Children’s Corporate Tug for Life Program offers employers an opportunity to participate in a teambuilding activity focused on to address social and emotional employee wellness and company culture. By removing the intimidation of being identified as an individual having a need for social and emotional education or help with dealing with family trauma, the program serves as a safe space where employees can have open discussion. As a note to our private placement program, we want these families to be met with compassion and understanding about circumstances out of their control.
Tug for Life combines education and a corporate charity event. All corporations encourage charitable giving by their employees in dollars and/or employee volunteer time. Today’s Harbor for Children’s Tug for Life Program provides the team building event to address social and emotional education and raise funds for our children at Today’s Harbor for Children.
