Tug for Life

Why Tug For Life?

The children at the Today’s Harbor for Children, formerly Boys & Girls Harbor, and in our society tug at our heartstrings for help, support and awareness of the increasing problem and need for social and emotional wellness and dealing with family trauma. The Today’s Harbor for Children is here to protect children who are victims of abuse and neglect. Today’s Harbor for Children provides a safe, healthy environment for the children, where they can live, learn and grow up to be healthy adults.

The Tug for Life event, created by Today’s Harbor for Children , is an event aligned with Texas Education Agency’s, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)/STAAR. The school educational fundraiser is the only one of its kind which aligns the messaging, education and resources to support the prevention of bullying, building and defining of character traits and establishing boundaries for the prevention of child abuse.

The Corporate Tug for Life offers employers a presentation to address social and emotional wellness and dealing with family trauma. Tug for Life wraps the education around a fun corporate charity event with a tug-o-war challenge.
