  • Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department Water Day

For the past 10 years, the Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department has provided a Water Day for the children of Boys & Girls Harbor. Water Day began when an alumni of the Harbor, a Volunteer Fire Fighter, decided the Harbor kids might enjoy playing in the water on a hot summer’s day! Although the Harbor alum has since retired from firefighting, the current Deer Park Volunteer Firemen continue the tradition.

Deer Park Volunteer Firemen, Shane Bridges, Michael Moore, Jacob Powell, and Tim Weinberger joined the children at the Harbor campus for the 2015 Water Day and provided a unique splash town on our campus!

“The kids at the Harbor always have a great time; they are both happy and appreciative. Sometimes, though, I think the firemen get more out of it than the kids,” said Weinberger.

Thank you to our community partners who truly make a difference in so many ways. We are grateful for the time and talent—and water!— the Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department generously donates to the children of Boys & Girls Harbor.
